The Students' Federation of India (abbreviated as SFI) is an Indian left-wing student organisation, politically aligned to the ideology & political views of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). The SFI is the India's largest student organisation with more than 4.3 million members (as of 2021–19).
THE MAIN POINTS:
The SFI's flag has a red five-pointed, socialist-style star in the top left corners, on a white background and the words "Independence", "Democracy" and "Socialism" are written, in English or in a local language, one beneath the other, at the bottom right of the flag, also in red.

STUDENT FEDERATION OF INDIA (SFI) ఎలా స్థాపించబడింది???
>1936 ఆగస్టు 12న సామ్రాజ్యవాద వ్యతిరేక రాజకీయాల కోసం ఆల్ ఇండియా స్టూడెంట్స్ ఫెడరేషన్ (AISF) ఏర్పాటుతో దాని వ్యవస్థీకృత రూపంలో భారతీయ విద్యార్థుల ఉద్యమం యొక్క మూలాన్ని గుర్తించవచ్చు . AISF కమ్యూనిస్ట్ పార్టీ ఆఫ్ ఇండియాతో జతకట్టింది . 1964లో CPI(M) CPI నుండి విడిపోయింది. ఈ విభజనతో AISF కూడా ప్రభావితమైంది. గతంలో AISFకి అనుబంధంగా ఉన్న అనేక స్థానిక సంస్థలు స్వతంత్రంగా పని చేయడం ప్రారంభించాయి. 1970లో, అటువంటి సంస్థల ప్రతినిధులు తిరువనంతపురంలో ఒక కొత్త జాతీయ విద్యార్థి సంస్థను ఏర్పాటు చేసేందుకు ఒక సమావేశాన్ని నిర్వహించారు . డిసెంబరు 27 నుండి 30 వరకు అఖిల భారత సదస్సు జరిగింది, దీని ఫలితంగా స్టూడెంట్స్ ఫెడరేషన్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా ఏర్పడింది. మొదటి సమావేశం నుండి ఎన్నికైన నాయకత్వాలలో సి. బాస్కరన్, (మొదటి అధ్యక్షుడు), బిమన్ బోస్ (మొదటి ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి), శ్యామల్ చక్రవర్తి , బల్దేవ్ సింగ్, బాబు భరద్వాజ్, రంజన్ గోస్వామి, మాణిక్ సర్కార్ , ఎన్ రామ్ , సుభాష్ చక్రవర్తి , ఉమేంద్ర ఉన్నారు. ప్రసాద్ సింగ్, పి మధు మరియు శక్తిధర్ దాస్.>The origin of Indian students movement in its organised form can be traced to the formation of All India Students’ Federation (AISF) on 12 August 1936 to further anti-imperialist politics. AISF was aligned to the Communist Party of India. In 1964 CPI(M) broke up from CPI. AISF was also affected with this split. Several local organizations previously affiliated to AISF started working independently. In 1970, delegates from such organizations held a conference in Thiruvananthapuram to form a new national students organisation. The all India conference was held from 27 to 30 December, and resulted in formation of Students' Federation of India.The elected leaderships from the first conference included C. Baskaran, (first President), Biman Bose (first General Secretary), Shyamal Chakraborty, Baldev Singh, Babu Bharadwaj, Ranjan Goswami, Manik Sarkar, N Ram, Subhash Chakraborty, Umendra prasad Singh, P Madhu and Shaktidhar Das.

1. SFI Strives for the upliftment of student in the fields of education and science. 2. Struggles for Democratic Progressive, Scientific Education System.3. Tries to bring Progressive, Social, economical changes, as students are a part of this organization and present social and economical conditions are the reasons for the students problems.4. Tries for achieving the 3 Goals (Independence, democracy, Socialism) printed on SFI Flag. Works with all who are Working for these goals.5. At the same time, SFI will struggle along With Working People who are struggling for their Just cause.6. Students' Federation is Independent, democratic united Student movement, not affiliated to any Political Party.7. Students' federation struggles against Casteism, Communalism, Regionalism.8. Student problems are related to Government policies. so SFI openly invites the Students into politics for the solution of the problems.9. SFI indentifies the need for struggling against Monopoly Capitalism, landlordism and Imperialism far the establishment of Socialism.
